In a traditional gesture following his recent appointment, the Chiefs of Defence Forces met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on October 4.

The delegation included Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva, Army Commander Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera. The meeting featured cordial discussions on national security and defense matters.

As part of the visit, commemorative tokens were exchanged, symbolizing the strong collaboration between the military and the new administration.
