Chinese and Indian Warships Depart Sri Lanka After Successful Joint Exercises

A flotilla of Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy warships, including the "HE FEI," "WUZHISHAN," and "QILIANSHAN," along with the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Mumbai, has departed Sri Lanka following a successful formal visit that began on August 26.

During their stay, the Chinese vessels engaged in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Sri Lankan Navy Ship (SLNS) Vijayabahu, while INS Mumbai conducted a similar PASSEX with SLNS Gajabahu.
These exercises, which included communication and tactical maneuvers, concluded with a ceremonial ship salute.
