EU Election Observers Arrive in Sri Lanka

The first group of European Union (EU) election observers has arrived in Sri Lanka to monitor the upcoming presidential election.

Another team from the EU is expected in the coming weeks.
Additionally, a delegation from the Commonwealth Observer Group has also arrived to join the observation mission.

The National Election Commission has confirmed that permission was granted to these groups to observe the election.
Representatives from the Asian Network for Free Elections are anticipated to visit soon, further strengthening the international oversight of the election process.
