Dr. Yunus Pledges: All Crimes Will be Prosecuted

In his first televised address as Chief Adviser of the newly formed interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel laureate, vowed to ensure the prosecution of all crimes committed under the previous autocratic regime. Speaking on Thursday, Dr. Yunus said that the lost glory of state institutions would be restored.

Dr. Yunus assured the nation that those who committed crimes under the former government’s manipulations would face proper punishment. He highlighted that this message applies to all sectors, including ministries, agencies, and educational institutions.

The Chief Adviser called for the nation to embrace this "second independence" by performing their duties with enthusiasm, contributing to the country’s progress. He urged citizens to support the government in upholding democracy, justice, and human rights, marking the dawn of a new era for Bangladesh.

Dr. Yunus praised the sacrifices of students who fought for the freedom of expression and declared that the interim administration, born from a mass uprising, represents all citizens. He vowed that any attempt to spread anarchy would be firmly resisted, ensuring a future where freedom of expression is fully protected.
