Sri Lanka to Recommence Egg Imports in 10 Days

The Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation has announced plans to resume egg imports within the next 10 days.
According to Chairman Asiri Walisundara, the procurement process is already underway. This move comes after the Cabinet approved egg imports to address soaring local prices, which have exceeded Rs. 50 per egg.

The corporation plans to import approximately 30 million eggs per month to stabilize the market and meet demand.
