Five people were injured in a bear attack in the Diyabeduma area of Kimbulawala, Polonnaruwa.
The victims were initially admitted to the Diyabeduma Provincial Hospital before being transferred to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital for further treatment.

This incident follows previous reports of similar bear attacks in the Moragaswewa and Sigiriya areas. In response to the recent attacks, wildlife officials have arranged for the bear to be tranquillised and relocated to a different area to ensure public safety.
