Train services from Colombo Fort have been temporarily halted due to a work stoppage by employees at the Dematagoda Yard.

The disruption follows demands for action in finding a missing fellow employee. This situation has led to cancellations and delays, including the Podi Menike and Badulla Odyssey trains, which were scheduled to depart for Badulla this morning.

Deputy General Manager (Operations) Mr. N.J. Idipolage confirmed the likelihood of further cancellations until the issue is resolved.
