Galle Police arrested eight people , including six Chinese nationals, on charges of engaging in cybercrimes. Based on information received , officers conducted a raid on a temporary accommodation in the Udugama area within the Galle Harbour Police Division on August 1.

The suspects, aged between 24 and 36, include two additional people from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. During the operation, authorities seized nine computers, 73 mobile phones, and a substantial number of SIM cards.
