A 55-year-old woman has been arrested in the Kachchai South area of Chavakachcheri after police discovered over 80kg of cannabis at her residence. The arrest followed a tip-off obtained from a suspect caught with 500 grams of cannabis during a car inspection at a police checkpoint the previous day.

Police seized a total of 87 kg and 616 grams of cannabis from the woman's possession. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the woman was involved in a cannabis-selling racket alongside her son and had hidden the drugs at home.
