A total of 355.881 kilos of cocaine, seized during various raids in Sri Lanka, were destroyed at the Drug Disposal Center in Wanathavilluwa, Puttalam, on Thursday. The narcotics, valued at Rs. 7,829 million, were confiscated during operations conducted by the Police, Special Task Force (STF), and the Sri Lanka Navy.

The event was attended by Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon. IGP Deshabandu pledged to intensify efforts against drug trafficking and ensure the prompt destruction of seized drugs in accordance with the law.
