A former storekeeper at the Hulftsdorp Court complex has been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) in connection with the theft of foreign liquor bottles valued at approximately Rs. 20 million from the court's store. The suspect has been remanded until July 16 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate.

Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe recently disclosed the incident in Parliament, revealing that a forensic report indicated the storeroom door had been opened with the appropriate key prior to the theft.
