A 31-year-old Belgian national was arrested at Katunayake Airport on Monday for allegedly defrauding Rs. 63,818,452 from the public.
The suspect reportedly enticed victims with promises of various construction projects but failed to deliver on these commitments.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at Katunayake Airport initiated an investigation into the fraudulent activities, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
