Teacher-Principal Trade Unions to Protest in Front of Schools Tomorrow

 

The teacher-principal trade unions have organized a series of protests to take place in front of schools tomorrow, July 2, demanding immediate solutions to their issues.

Today's demonstration featured the display of black flags and banners highlighting their demands, including the elimination of salary disparities between teachers and principals.

The Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) has confirmed that tomorrow’s protests will occur after school hours. CTU General Secretary Joseph Stalin highlighted the importance of these actions during a press conference, calling on parents to understand the necessity of the protests. Additionally, the unions announced their intention to unite all public sector trade unions as the teacher-principal alliance next Friday.
