Two naval intelligence personnel have been apprehended by the Sri Lanka Navy's Special Investigation Unit for their alleged involvement in a large-scale drug smuggling operation. The arrests were made following an extensive internal investigation conducted by the unit.

The detained naval personnel are suspected of aiding and abetting the drug smuggling racket. They are set to be handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) for further legal proceedings.
