A discussion is set for Monday, July 1, between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Inter-University Trade Union Federation to tackle ongoing wage issues affecting non-academic university staff.
K.L.D.G. Richmond, co-secretary of the federation, confirmed that the staff will persist with their strike action, which has already rendered the university system inoperative for 53 days.
Richmond highlighted that unless a satisfactory resolution is reached, the trade union action will continue indefinitely.
