The Constitutional Council will convene today at the Parliament complex to decide on extending Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam's term. This follows two previous delays due to legal complexities surrounding the recommendation for his service extension.

The meeting, chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, will address President Ranil Wickremesinghe's recent proposal for a 6-month extension as Rajaratnam approaches his retirement on June 26th.
