The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has announced that 400 special buses will be available for devotees traveling to Anuradhapura for this year's Poson Festival. SLTB Chairman Lalith De Alwis stated that these buses will operate from Kandy, Kurunegala, Gampaha, and Colombo to Anuradhapura.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Railway Department has informed that due to ongoing railway repairs from Mahawa to Anuradhapura, trains will only run up to Mahawa this year. Additional trains from Colombo to Mahawa will be in operation starting June 20th to accommodate the increased number of travelers.
