Sri Lankan athlete Rumesh Tharanga made history at the Asian Throwing Championships by setting new meet and national records in the javelin throw. Tharanga won the gold medal with a remarkable throw of 85.45 meters, surpassing both the previous Sri Lanka and championship records. Throwing Championships is currently taking place in South Korea.
