The Sri Lanka Police have issued a reminder to all motorists to ensure they carry the necessary licenses and documents while on the road. In a recent social media post, the Police highlighted the importance of having the following documents before travelling:

1. Standard Documents:
- Driver's Licence
- Revenue Licence
- Vehicle Insurance
- Emission Certificate

2.For Heavy Vehicles:
- A Vehicle Fitness Certificate is required.

3.For Electric or Hybrid Vehicles:
- An Emission Certificate is not necessary.
