The government has approved a new public-private partnership aimed at developing the skills of school-level athletes in preparation for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. The initiative, jointly led by the Ministries of Education and Sports, seeks to position Sri Lanka as a medal-winning country at the upcoming games.
The program, which will involve collaboration with the private sector and civil society, also aims to provide opportunities for talented athletes to compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
