The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is set to submit its July tariff revision proposal to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) this week, following a finalization meeting held on Monday, June 3. Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera, announced the development on social media platform 'X'.
Minister Wijesekera highlighted that the government had decided last year to implement a cost-reflective tariff mechanism, with adjustments made quarterly. The upcoming July tariff proposal aligns with this policy, aiming to reflect the true cost of electricity production and distribution.
