Sri Lanka's Irrigation Department has issued major flood warnings for multiple areas as water levels in the Kalu Ganga, Gin Ganga, Nilwala River, and Kelani River continue to rise.
The department has released an Islandwide Water Level and Rainfall status update, highlighting the potential for  flooding in these regions.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising residents in affected areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
