SLFP Faction Led by Ex-President Maithripala Relocates Operations

The faction of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) led by former President Maithripala Sirisena has announced a strategic relocation of its operations. Moving forward, the faction will conduct its activities from a new location in Colombo, departing from the party’s traditional headquarters on Darley Road, Colombo 10.

Party insiders have cited ongoing internal conflicts and court orders as the primary reasons for this shift. These challenges have made it impractical to gather constituency and district organizers at the former headquarters.

The new location is intended to serve as a hub for organizing and discussing upcoming political matters, providing a space for SLFP members from across the island to convene.
