Sri Lanka's Cabinet has greenlit a significant move in its energy sector, authorizing a 20-year power purchase agreement with Adani Green Energy.
The agreement aims to develop 484 MW of wind power stations in Mannar & Poonaryn.
According to the country's Power and Energy Minister, the negotiated tariff rate stands at USD 0.0826 per kWh, payable in LKR at the prevailing exchange rate upon payment.
