A bag containing a magazine and ammunition was discovered inside a train compartment that had been stopped at Beliatta Railway Station. The train had completed its journey from Maradana, which started at 6:30 a.m. today (29).

 The express train was scheduled to depart for Kandy afterward, and as per normal procedure, an inspection was conducted. The ammunition was found inside a black bag left in the compartment.

 The Station Master informed the police, and inspections are still ongoing (as of 2:55 p.m.). As a result, the train journey is delayed.
