During Independence Day rehearsal exercises, two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) and two Sri Lanka Army paratroopers sustained minor injuries as their parachutes became entangled during the landing process.

The incident occurred as the paratroopers were conducting landing maneuvers as part of the rehearsal activities. Despite the mishap, all four individuals suffered only minor injuries, and there were no reports of serious harm.
