Police have made two more arrests in the investigation into the tragic shooting incident near the Beliatte Exit of the Southern Highway.

Two additional suspects, both females, were apprehended from the Rathgama area on charges of aiding and abetting those involved in the heinous crime, according to a statement from the Police Media.

The shooting, which claimed the lives of five individuals, including the Leader of the Apey Janabala Party, sent shockwaves through the community. Gunmen ambushed the victims near the Southern Highway exit, unleashing a wave of violence that left five dead.
