President Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa paid a visit to the residence of late former State Minister Sanath Nishantha, who tragically lost his life in a fatal accident earlier this morning. The political heavyweights offered their condolences to the grieving family in Colombo.

Sanath Nishantha, a 48-year-old father of two, was involved in a fatal accident that claimed his life, sending shockwaves through the political landscape. 

Nishantha's body was handed over to the friends and family by the hospital authorities early this morning. Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage accepted the body. 

Nishantha, a controversial figure in politics, was facing multiple allegations at the time of his untimely death. Despite the political controversies surrounding him, the focus of the visit remained on expressing condolences and offering support to the grieving family.
