He also criticized the Asian Internet Coalition's skepticism about the government's commitment to amendments. "The Asian Internet Coalition strongly refutes the Minister's assertion of consent to amendments," Ranawaka remarked, highlighting a growing divide between tech industry representatives and the government on the proposed changes to the bill.
Moreover, Ranawaka expressed concerns about the potential consequences for essential technology services if the government proceeds without addressing the industry's reservations. "The looming loss of key tech services is a concerning outcome if the government continues down this path," he warned.
