The self-proclaimed 'Awalokitheshwara Bodhisathva,' who has been under scrutiny for allegedly distorting Buddhist philosophy and misleading the public, was arrested by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The arrest follows numerous complaints lodged by various groups, accusing him of misinterpreting and causing disrespect to the core tenets of Buddhism.

Local authorities had been investigating the self-proclaimed spiritual leader for some time, as concerns grew over the authenticity of his teachings. The accused had gained a following by disseminating what many now claim were distorted interpretations of Buddhist principles.

The arrest was made after a series of complaints were filed against 'Awalokitheshwara Bodhisathva' by religious leaders, scholars, and concerned citizens.
