Fort Magistrates Court has granted bail to Pastor Jerome Fernando, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) last month on charges of inciting religious hatred during one of his sermons.

The pastor, known for his religious activities, faced the court proceedings, resulting in bail being approved.

While the bail provides the pastor with a degree of freedom, there are travel restrictions in place.

Pastor Jerome Fernando is barred from traveling abroad during the ongoing legal proceedings.
