Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has unveiled key changes ahead of the upcoming Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka. The decision includes the appointment of former Sri Lankan T20 international captain Thilina Kandamby as the batting coach and former cricketer Upul Chandana as the fielding coach.

Thilina Kandamby, who brings a wealth of experience from his international T20 career, is set to play a crucial role as the batting coach for the Sri Lankan squad in the forthcoming tournament against Zimbabwe. 

Upul Chandana, another former Sri Lankan cricketer, has reportedly been chosen to take on the role of fielding coach for the series. 

The coaching reshuffle comes as Sri Lanka unveils preliminary squads for the upcoming white-ball assignments against Zimbabwe, scheduled to commence on January 6. The inclusion of experienced coaching figures like Kandamby and Chandana is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives and strategic insights to the team's preparations.
