The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has publicly accepted culpability for the recent nationwide power failure that plunged the entire country into darkness, drawing sharp criticism from the public.

The acknowledgment was revealed to the public by the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the islandwide blackout earlier this month.
