In a bid to standardize and regulate charges for digital identification photographs, the government has issued a Gazette notification imposing a maximum fee of Rs. 400 for services rendered by registered photographers.
The new directive applies to any digital photograph taken for the purpose of an identity card or a duplicate of an existing identity card.
Under the updated regulations, registered photographers are now obligated to adhere to the prescribed maximum fee of Rs. 400 for any digital photograph linked to the issuance or duplication of identity cards.
