Law enforcement agencies, including the Police, Special Task Force (STF), and Tri Forces, have successfully carried out an islandwide special operation targeting illicit activities.
The operation, which unfolded across various regions, has resulted in a substantial number of arrests, with 2,121 individuals taken into custody. Out of those apprehended, 133 have been directed towards rehabilitation programs aimed at addressing underlying issues.
The joint operation aimed to tackle a range of illicit activities, including drug trafficking and other criminal enterprises. Notably, the crackdown has yielded significant results in terms of drug seizures. Law enforcement authorities have confiscated 2.2 kilograms of heroin, 769 grams of ICE (crystal methamphetamine), and a staggering 178 kilograms of cannabis.
