Consumers using domestic LITRO gas cylinders are bracing for a considerable price increase as the Value Added Tax (VAT) is set to rise to 18% from January 2024, according to an announcement from LITRO, the state-owned gas supplier.

The impending VAT hike, coupled with the increased tax on a range of goods, including previously exempt items, is expected to impact the cost of living for citizens. LITRO, in a statement, confirmed that the price of domestic gas cylinders would be significantly affected by the VAT adjustment.
