Speaking during a parliamentary session, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa categorically dismissed speculations surrounding a potential alliance with President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Premadasa emphasized that such rumors were baseless and propagated by what he referred to as "third-class propaganda outlets" allegedly funded by the government.
Premadasa took a definitive stance on the matter, addressing the issue directly within the parliamentary forum. He refuted claims circulating in certain media channels suggesting a collaboration between him and President Wickremesinghe.
"This is being planted by some third-class propaganda outlets. They are funded by the government. They plant news stories saying that Ranil and Sajith will join hands. I must clearly state that Ranil and Sajith will never join hands. I must clarify this in Parliament," declared Premadasa during the session.
