Popular actress Semini Iddamalgoda was fined Rs. 15,000 by the Colombo Acting Magistrate for operating a security firm without a valid license.

The complaint was lodged with the court by the Grandpass Police. The suspect, Semini Iddamalgoda, had been issued a warrant on the last day of the trial for not appearing in court during the hearing of the case. Accordingly, the court decided to withdraw the warrant for Iddamalgoda who appeared before the court today (16).

After the charge sheet was filed by the Grandpass Police, Acting Court Translator Chinthaka Uhanowita read out the charge sheet to the accused and she pleaded guilty to the charge.

Accordingly, the court decided to impose a fine of Rs. 15,000 on the accused who pleaded guilty to the relevant charge
