Former President Maithripala Sirisena has said that a broad and strong coalition should be formed by uniting honest, uncorrupt, non-fraudulent and patriotic people among the politicians of this country.
The former President also stated that the future of the country should be empowered through the formation of such a coalition.
Sirisena, while speaking to the media after attending an event in Colombo, also said that the government should fulfill its responsibility without pointing a finger at each other regarding the current economic crisis in the country, fertilizer, gas and commodity prices.
The former President said that the farmers of the country are still in a miserable condition without fertilizer and added that the people are also affected by the explosion of gas cylinders everywhere.
Sirisena said that the government should fulfill its responsibility for the suffering people of the country by resolving the existing major issues and that his party would take steps to provide the necessary support to the government in this regard.
