The Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar has released 10 defendants including former minister Ravi Karunanayake, Perpetual Treasuries head Arjuna Aloysius and former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran from 11 charges out of the 22 in the bond Scam case.

Gamini Marapana, PC, who appeared for the accused raised preliminary objections at the commencement of the trial. Subsequently, The bench comprising Amal Ranaraja (Chairman) Namal Balalle and Aditya Patabendi delivered the order to acquit the defendants from 11 charges.

The case was postponed until January 26, 2022.
