A dog was seen travelling in a vehicle reserved for the Mayor of Dambulla by the Dambulla Municipal Council.

The cab bearing the number WP PF 3340 is reserved for the use of the Mayor. Interestingly, a four-legged passenger was seen in the vehicle while it was driven by a government-paid chauffer.

It is learnt that the pet dog of the Mayor fwas taken to a veterinary clinic in the area by the driver assiged to him.

However, the use of a state-owned vehicle to trasport the pet dog has come criticism on social media platforms.
