Former Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake who was detained at the Angunakolapelessa Prison has been taken to the Colombo National Hospital today (11) for treatment due to a knee injury.

He was taken to the Welikada Remand Prison in Colombo, after his treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

The media spokesman further stated that after presenting the doctor to the clinic, the doctors have instructed him to present Ranjan Ramanayake again on the 16th.

He is being held at the Welikada Prison in Colombo due to this, the spokesman added.

Ranjan Ramanayake previously received treatment at the Karapitiya Hospital in Galle for the same knee injury.
