Parliamentarian Diana Gamage has filed a petition before the Supreme Court asking that SJB decision to expel her from party is nullified.

Early October, the SJB announced its working committee had unanimously decided to expel MP Gamage from the party.

The desicion came following a disciplinary process initiated by the party for supporting the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.

Gamage, in response, said the SJB could not expel her as she was the "owner" of the party.
