UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardena said that ensuring "One Country, One Law" should be the duty of Parliament and not a Presidential Task Force.

The UNP Deouty Leader made these remarks while speaking at the Deepawali celebration of the pary.

Wijewardene said it was the duty of Parliament to legislate for the "One Country, One Law" and this task should not be handed over to another body.

Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnansara Thera has been appointed the Head of the "One Country, One Law" Task Force.

His appointment has been criticised by many including parties representing the opposition.
