Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila said they had to discuss internal issues of the government on public platforms as there was no space within the government for internal dialogues.
Addreesing an event at his ministry, Gammanpila said they started the dialogie against certain decisions made by the government risking their own portfolios.
The Minister said a section of the government was trying to oust them because they wanted to grab certain positions held by coalition partners.
Gammanpila said the current government was a coalition of 16 parties and this composition should always be kept in mind.
The Minister said he was not opposed to foreign investments but the process should be carried out without jeopardising the interests of the country.
