Former President Maithripala Sirisena said they had no plans to leave the government although there differences of opinion within the ruling.
"What do we do after leaving the government? Whom can we join," Sirisena asked when questioned by the media whether the SLFP is planning to quit the govenrment. "We don't see any other party that we can work with," the former President said.
""Even during my government, ministers and parliamentarians expressed their views. This does not mean that the criticism will lead to a political crisis," he added.
We don't know what will happen tomorrow. These days, we are working to reorganize the party. We should not create chaos during this time because the country is in a bad place," Sirisena said.
