Rev. Cyril Gamini has made a written request to the CID asking for one more week to respond to his summons.

Fr. Cyril Gamini who was summoned to the CID today (28) for a statement did not appear and instead three other priests came to the CID and handed over a letter with this request.

Fathers St. Kumar Weliwita, Fathers Ravin Sandasiri and Srinath Manoj came to the CID to hand over the request.

The priests who came out said that the request was accepted by the officers of the CID.

Head of the State Intelligence Service, Major General Suresh Sallay, had lodged a complaint against Fr. Gamini over a statement the latter made about the Easter Sunday attacks, Fr. Cyril Gamini was asked to appear before the CID to make a statement regarding the the complaint.
