A discussion between President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the constituent party leaders of the government will be held at Temple Trees this evening.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is also scheduled to participate in this discussion.

The discussion takes place amidst political tension between the SLPP and constituent party leaders of the government over a number of political issues.

The constituent party leaders have already announced that they will convene a "people's assembly" against the sale of shares of the Yugadanavi plant to a US company.
