President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has appointed Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera as the Chairman of a Presidential Task Force to study the implementation of the concept 'One Country One Law.

The names of 13 members who will serve as members of the Task Force have been gazetted.

Prof.Dayanananda Banda, Prof. Shanthinandana Wijesinghe, Prof. Sumedha Siriwardena, N.G.Sujeewa Panditharatne, Iresh Senevratne, Sanjaya Marambe, Eranda Navarathne, Pani Wewala, Moulavi Mohamed, Mohamed Inthikab, Kaleek Rahuman and Azeez Nizardeen have been named as other members of the Task Force.

Interestingly, Gnanasara Thera, Chair of the Task Force, was convicted for contempt of court and was released on presidential pardon while serving a 6 years Rigorous Imprisonment.
