An amendment will be made to the Penal Code (Amendment) Bill tomorrow (21)to replace death sentence for minors with custodial sentences,according to the Parliament media unit.

Justice Minister Ali Sabry is due to present it in Parliament.

The Youthful Offenders (Training Schools) (Amendment) Bill and the Regulations made under Section 840 of the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter 101) read with Section 214 of the said Code and published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2234/67 dated July 2, 2021 are also being scheduled to be passed in Parliament.
